Special Contract Granted to IGT by Florida Lottery
International Game Technology, which is one of the largest game suppliers in all of the United States, announced that they have won a bid with the Florida Lottery to supply the equipment and technology for the next 13-years. This contract ensures that IGT will be providing updated systems to the Florida Lottery for the next 10 years with the option for a three-year renewal at the end of that period.

IGT wanted to ensure that the state can have confidence that the systems that are going to be provided are ones that will be up to date and provide ease of use as well as the proper kinds of protections. Using the Altura Flex Terminals, the system will roll out within the next year, providing a series of self-service lottery vending machines that will provide draw-based and instant games.
According to IGT VP of North American lottery Jay Gendron the company will be working together to ensure that the lottery based system will be able to assist in funding Florida’s education program for at least a decade. Using their innovative solutions IGT expects that the system will increase the lottery’s growth while also giving consumers a fun and entertaining system that is easy to use.
IGT developed their hardware systems and technology using a comprehensive system that included feedback from both retailers and customers. Many of their systems are used throughout the country today, including the IGT Aurora MultiMedia Ticket-Scan Plus Self-Service Ticket vendor, which is used throughout the nation.
Throughout the duration of the contract, IGT will ensure that the Florida lottery receives the highest quality technology machines and will maintain and repair machines all equipment that is supplied. The Florida lottery recorded its fifth consecutive year of financial growth and is dedicated to providing consumers with the best possible equipment while helping to fund Florida’s youth in their education program.
