Using Bingo to Raise Money

Do you belong to a church, Fire Company, Veteran’s organization, or a student association? If you want to raise money fast and easy with out too much effort or sales time, have a Bingo! Bingo is a fast method of raising money while giving entertainment back to the community as well. Bingo is a lottery that will allow someone to win a few bucks one each games, with jackpots that are large sums or that are worth large values all the while the organization is going to make some good steps in raising funds for the cause.

One of the first things you are going to need to do is pick a night or a date where there are not too many other Bingo halls sponsoring games. Another thing you will have to work around is holidays and special occasions. Take for example, if it is the end of school you have Memorial Day and Graduation ceremonies – so finding a date that does not conflict with local times of celebrations will get you the best turn out.

Equipment. Does your association or organization already have Bingo equipment? Most already do even if they are not used too often. You can also rent Bingo equipment from local rental halls, through small games of chance vendors and possibly even from another local association who is not using theirs on a particular night.

Next will come who is going to call the numbers for your night of Bingo? This can be any one that can speak clearly and continually over the course of the night and that is reliable not to call off on a night when they are scheduled to work.

You will need attendants to work the door – handing out admission packets and taking money when Bingo players are first coming in the door.

You will need attendants to work the floor – selling specials, rip off tickets and even food or beverage sales to Bingo players as needed.

All of the positions that are involved in working in a Bingo fundraising function are to be volunteer and for the betterment of the organization or association.

How are you going to make more money when offering Bingo Games?
Sell foods that are made from donations to the organization. You could sell punch, homemade tea, coffee, cookies, cakes, gobs, and so much more. Even pasta salad, potato salad and spaghetti are items that are not expensive to make but would keep a lot of people buying while they are playing Bingo because they are hungry. Inexpensive snacks are going to be were you are going to make a lot of money to a large crowd of people playing Bingo.

Sell a fifty fifty. In addition to having the game of Bingo going on, have an attendant go around selling tickets for just one dollar. If you sell one hundred tickets, then you have fifty dollars that will go to the winner an fifty dollars that will go the organization or the association that is trying to raise money – all this is with very little effort and not outgoing costs so it is a win win situation!

Advertising your Bingo hall, the time of your Bingo and what the Jackpots are going to be for your Bingo three weeks up until the night of your Bingo is going to give you a huge audience that is going to be waiting to play Bingo at your organizations place.
